The market belongs to Content Writers today with the whooping number of websites on the internet. The internet has indeed broken through all spheres of our lives and advertising is one of the biggest tools for any business firm operating or trying to expand itself over the net. freelance copywriters are in huge demand and things look quite lush and green.
Only the other day, a friend of mine, having done his Masters in English from what is called the most prestigious English Department in Asia, got placed to work with one of the top notch IT companies.
The clue here is not at all subtle. It almost cries out to say, besides all those software and technical developers, these content developers are in demand as the Virtual Assistants. This tells you the story of the changing scenario in the job market… of the various career opportunities that you can pursue now even with a degree in English.
I remember having been told not to go for English because the only opening seemed to be the media. I do not regret that I did not take up English. But for all those who think that English is not a subject you want to study unless you want to take up journalism or teaching, this definitely comes as an eye-opener.
